North Carolina's Portrait of a Graduate program is a visionary initiative that aims to go beyond traditional academic achievement and embrace a holistic approach to education. 
We believe that students should not only excel in core subjects but also develop essential skills, mindsets, and character traits that will prepare them for a rapidly changing world.

Students are encouraged to explore their passions, think critically, and engage in real-world problem-solving. 

Through collaboration with educators, parents, community members, and stakeholders, our program has created a comprehensive framework that identifies the key competencies necessary for graduates to thrive in their personal and professional lives.
