2025-2026 School Calendar Options
The Board reviewed the two draft calendars for the 2025-2026 calendar and discussed student achievement, flexibility, and the feedback received. Board of Education members acknowledged the need to adopt a calendar that puts the students first. Board members voted to adopt Option 2 for the 2025-2026 academic year. Students will start on August 25, 2025, and end June 5, 2026.

In addition, the Board directed ABSS Leadership to develop a 2026-2027 calendar with the timeline of the Option 1 calendar (earlier start) to be considered for adoption at an upcoming meeting. This would provide a two-year district calendar so that staff and families can plan accordingly. Please note that we are working to create the final public version of the school calendar, along with a staff and Alamance-Burlington Early College calendar. We will share with everyone as soon as they are complete.
