As defined by the State of North Carolina General Assembly, § 115C-105.37: “Low-performing schools are those that receive a school performance grade of D or F and a school growth score of “met expected growth” or “not met expected growth.” ABSS has 17 identified schools.
Submit a preliminary plan for improving the school performance grade (SPG) and school growth score.
In December, the Board will vote on the Improvement Plans.
Provide written notification to the parents/guardians of each identified low-performing school that includes 5 identified factors.
Plans for schools and the district will be made available for feedback from stakeholders.
Low-Performing Schools will participate in a Super Observation.
